Privacy policy

In short

• Tessera runs on your Mac. Your trading data, journal, layouts and analyst conversations are stored there.
• Your broker and data credentials are kept in the macOS keychain. We never receive them.
• The analyst is your own AI agent. What you ask it, and the data it reads to answer, goes to your AI provider under your agreement with them.
• This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

Who is responsible

What stays on your Mac

Tessera's desktop app and its runtime run locally. The following are stored on your Mac and are not sent to us:

• Credentials for your brokers, prop-firm accounts, data vendors and alert destinations, in the macOS keychain.
• Market data received from your connections, and the recordings Tessera keeps of it.
• Orders, positions and fills from your accounts, and the audit log of every action.
• Your work: journal entries, screenshots, trades you import, research studies, indicators, layouts, settings and analyst conversations.

You can delete this data by deleting it in the app or removing Tessera's data folder from your Mac.

What reaches us

This website

The site is static and sets no cookies. It loads no analytics, advertising or third-party fonts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical data every web request carries (IP address, browser, the page requested and the time) to serve and protect the site, and may keep it in logs for a limited period.

Downloads

When you download Tessera, the server that hosts the file (Cloudflare) records the same technical data for that request.

The app

The beta does not send us analytics, usage data or crash reports. A few minutes after it opens and then every few hours, it asks our download server (Cloudflare) whether a newer version exists; that request carries only the technical data every web request does, and no account, trading or usage data. If that changes, this policy will say what is collected and why before it starts, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.

When you write to us

If you email us, we use your address and message to answer you and keep them as long as needed for that purpose.

Services you connect

Tessera connects directly from your Mac to the services you choose. Each is a separate company with its own privacy policy, and we do not control what it does with your data:

• Your AI provider. When the analyst works, Tessera passes your prompts and the data needed to answer them (for example chart data, levels, your journal or positions) to the Claude Code or Codex CLI on your Mac, which sends them to Anthropic or OpenAI under your account with them.
• Brokers and trading systems, such as Rithmic and the firms that use it, receive your login and orders.
• Data and level vendors receive the keys and requests needed to send you their data.
• Alert destinations you set up, such as a Discord webhook, receive the alerts you send them.

Optional cloud sync

We plan an optional Tessera account to sync layouts, templates, conversations and similar work between your Macs. It will be off unless you sign in, and it will never sync your credentials. Before it launches we will update this policy with what it stores, where, for how long, and the legal basis.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because Tessera keeps your data on your Mac, most of it is already under your control. To exercise a right over data we hold, contact us at the address above. Security

Credentials are kept in the macOS keychain rather than in Tessera's own files. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure; keep your Mac's software up to date and protect it with a password.

Children

Tessera is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We will post any change here with its date and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they apply.
